observation: telling an american who posts somewhere expressing their guilt to go violently overthrow their government is, in essence, telling them to go kill themselves¹; an expression of desire for revenge dressed up in language of justice

i understand the impulse at least (and the expression of guilt is misplaced), but it can't be good for you to righteously tell others to go die

¹they may not necessarily die (though that's pretty likely) but rotting in prison for the rest of their life isn't much different from suicide-by-cop

This post at the top of /r/greenland was very relatable, and it's the same opinion I heard from a lot of Canadians when I was back for Xmas. https://www.reddit.com/r/greenland/comments/1qhhijq/to_every_american_whos_sorry/ The average American has NO idea how much the rest of the world hates the US, and will for decades to come.
