i just realized that since "gallon" is different between US and UK, then the fuel efficiency figures measured in mpg must be 20% different as well

imagine being British, going to the US, filling up your tank with the "same" amount of fuel and discovering you get 20% less range!

hey, at least they don't measure airplane fuel in gallons
