We've just realised that tomorrow is Valentine's day, and so everywhere is booked up for dinner. We have to eat so asked at the hotel if we could make a booking. Yes, but they're only serving their Valentine's day menu.
Herself: I suppose we could have a romantic dinner. There's a first time for everything.
Me: OK, but have you seen the price?
Herself: Ah, a carry-out it is then.
