As an experiment, this has been a long time coming. It can be very frustrating sometimes, because you can feel so close to a solution, but just not quite where you want to be yet.

And yeah, I stand by the idea of building a Fediverse-first product. Every path is hard in its own way, but it feels very backwards at times to try and bootstrap a content management system to have social features. Internally, there’s not really dedicated pages for timelines or notifications; the dashboard is just the WordPress dashboard.

I’ve been wanting to build something myself for a long time, but am still working on my confidence when it comes to developing my own thing. Social publishing is a big idea to me, though.
