Almost everyone I know has YouTube Premium now. It's next to impossible to watch anything without it, due to so many ads that are hard to block on a TV or mobile device, which is where kids watch them most. They've even introduced a delay on desktop where it's usually easier to block those ads and refuse to play videos when a VPN is detected. All these problems go away if you have the Premium version. They've found the infinite money glitch 😏
@nixCraftnixCraft 🐧 uBlock Origin on the desktop + sponsor block + NewPipe/Tubular on android... and the latter on any "AndroidTvStick" via f-droid. though for anyone non-tech premium seems to be the "way to go" sadly.
It's "funny" / annoying that #google tried to create their own streaming service but when "google video" wasn't getting any traction they simply bought out #youtube, monopolised everything with "free" content and then when competition was dead, "forced" payments... :/
