I'm a perpetual early adopter, run betas all over the place, self-host — hell, when I was a kid, I snuck into conferences just to get the software the handed out as swag (this is how I used Outlook as an e-mail client as a kid)!
I downloaded alpha-quality NVIDIA drivers to try and play with style transfer toys and Deep Dream. Let me say that again: I willingly and *on purpose* ran *alpha-quality* *NVIDIA drivers* so I could play with something that is an immediate precursor to modern genAI products.
I am the ideal target audience for AI products.
And yet, based on knowing even a little bit about what they are, I fucking *loathe* them.
