Anyway, I have no objection to DLSS 5, and to the best of my knowledge there's no principled objection to it out there other than "NVIDIA bad," which yes, NVIDIA is bad. But that's not about DLSS in particular.
They're muddying the waters to soften critique of the uniquely and abjectly terrible shit that they're doing, and I don't intend on helping them do so.
Let me try this another way: I think the problems with DLSS 5 are not the same as the problems with LLMs and other attacks on creative labor, and equating the two is bad for understanding how the tech industry relates to art.
