So Wayland has X11 compatibility in the form of "XWayland"

What's stopping someone from creating a "GDIWayland" compatibility layer so you can display, say, Program Manager from Windows 3.1?

Of course, I've fallen into "just because you can do a thing doesn't mean you should" territory ;o)
