자폐스펙트럼에 속한 여성들은 소수자 중에서도 소수자이다. 우리는 괴짜 같은 면이라든가 습관, 특성, 관점 등 많은 부분에서 자폐 스펙트럼 남성들과 공통점을 갖지만 살짝 다른 점도 있다. 여성들의 아스퍼거 증후군 자체가 남성들과 크게 다른 것이 아니라, 다르게 '인식되기 때문에' 증상을 놓치기 쉽다.
