While the far right (especially in the US) is destroying the concept of a "fact" and ushering us really into a post-truth universe, I think it's even more important than ever for us on the left to protect the truth, even (and especially) if it's very uncomfortable.

For example last year, the global emissions finally peeked. There were many factors that contributed to this extremely important milestone but two of them were EVs and solar panels.

Like it or not, not only played a crucial role in popularizing both, without Tesla there would have never been an EV industry. Moreover, most Tesla car owners are not right wingers (that's why sales took a nose dive after Elon went crazy).

So is the hate towards the company justified? Absolutely! They should have fired him. Instead the company is heavily involved in DOGE.

Is the hate towards the Tesla owners justified? Absolutely not.
