Having just talked on Jochen Topf's private video chat server, I suddenly understood it's pretty easy to have my own custom Jitsi instance.

Couple hours of experiments later, I have a subdomain and two scripts to create and destroy a server. That would cost me less than a euro a month, and makes for a better experience than google meet.

I've based mine on github.com/EvilOlaf/turnkey-ji β€” thanks @benzuckerBen Zucker 🍰

(or could I have just used free meet.jit.si/ ? idk now)
