after watching my Dell XPS 13 laptop suffer from swollen battery, then dying completely within a few weeks of putting in a new battery (which I theorize may be due to internal component damage from the first swelling), same thing has been happening with my Framework 13. New battery is on the way, however, my immensely slow idiot brain has finally figured out to install additional kernel mods + battery health charging gnome addons to *limit the battery charge* to only 60%, since I'm plugged in all day. Hopefully Framework internals aren't also toasted by the swelling. This kind of thing should be a lot more built-in / by default for modern OSes.
