I just pulled the nuclear option on an issue. The issue is one of the many many issues of the form "I made a mistake in my program using your API, and it took me 5 minutes to figure it out. Please change your library to detect my mistake and make it impossible or warn me about it". A request that is often not unreasonable, often unreasonable. I just pulled the "I think this is not really that big a deal" switch on it. Scary switch because now we go down the chute of subjective experience. But earlier in the week, had another one of these and spent the whole day fighting with the guy. Seeing if the nuclear option saves me on cortisol for today.
