Due to my brain dead ISP which does not support IPv6 for clients in 2K25(!) I cant access my boxyBSD box.

boxyBSD is thus so far away from me :(

I have a client connection with fixed IPv4 IP somewhere, but it collapses when I use a free available IPv4 to IPv6 tunnel service.

Instead of sitting and twiddling my fingers on my Bass guitar(s) generating random() notes, I decided to get an image of the latest freeBSD and play with it locally, until I can get my ISP to provide all of us with a (set) of free IPv6 addresses because we pay them for a full service here in my country

🌊💻 OceanSprint 2025 – Day 3 💻🌊

The most amazing part of this sprint isn't just the hacking or excursions (surfing at Famara Beach and winery visits were awesome!). It’s the sense of community. Despite recent drama around forks (Nix, Lix, Tvix/Snix), I've seen firsthand how people come together here—sharing ideas, having respectful discussions, and moving the ecosystem forward. The space is big enough for everyone, and that’s what makes it special.

以前、土俵の上で倒れた男性を救護するため女性が土俵に上がって物議を醸したとき、命がかかってる緊急事態ですら「女は土俵に上がるな」が優先するのかと、バカバカしく思えたっけな。

それで、その周辺の事情についてネット上だけで少し調べて、江戸時代までは女相撲も普通にやってたが明治に入ってから外国人の目が気になり日本が野蛮な国と思われたくないので女相撲は禁止されたこと、相撲をやる場所が「国技館」という名前だから相撲が国技って感じになったけど別に正式な国技ではないことなど色々と雑な経緯だった。

A Formal System of Axiomatic Set Theory in Coq

Formal verification technology has been widely applied in the fields of mathematics and computer science. The formalization of fundamental mathematical theories is particularly essential. Axiomatic set theory is a foundational system of mathematics and has important applications in computer science. Most of the basic concepts and theories in computer science are described and demonstrated in terms of set theory. In this paper, we present a formal system of axiomatic set theory based on the Coq proof assistant. The axiomatic system used in the formal system refers to Morse-Kelley set theory which is a relatively complete and concise axiomatic set theory. In this formal system, we complete the formalization of the basic definitions of sets, functions, ordinal numbers, and cardinal numbers and prove the most commonly used theorems in Coq. Moreover, the non-negative integers are defined, and Peano's postulates are proved as theorems. According to the axiom of choice, we also present formal proofs of the Hausdorff maximal principle and Schröeder-Bernstein theorem. The whole formalization of the system includes eight axioms, one axiom schema, 62 definitions, and 148 corollaries or theorems. The “axiomatic set theory” formal system is free from the more apparent paradoxes, and a complete axiomatic system is constructed through it. It is designed to give a foundation for mathematics quickly and naturally. On the basis of the system, we can prove many famous mathematical theorems and quickly formalize the theories of topology, modern algebra, data structure, database, artificial intelligence, and so on. It will become an essential theoretical basis for mathematics, computer science, philosophy, and other disciplines.

I am not a BSD daily driver. Maybe once every five years I dip my toe in the pool.

Something about DragonFly attracts me periodically. I had a random project a while ago, I don't even remember the details, but found DragonFly virtualized really well, for some reason, maybe the best performance I'd seen from a VM. What feels like centuries ago I ran NetBSD on m68k Macs and a Sun IPX (which I still have, I keep meaning to print a Raspberry Pi case in an SBus card form factor and resurrect it one more time). And I'm currently running cwm on Fedora.

I appreciate your focus on solving problems and being open-minded. It's a healthy reminder.

ICANNがWHOISを終了しRDAPに切り替え。CLIもrdapコマンドを使ってくれよな。homebrewならbrew install icann-rdapでrdapコマンドをインストールできる。jpドメインはまだRDAP対応してないっぽい？
