미국에는 전국 소설 쓰기의 달 (National Novel Writing Month), 약칭 NaNoWriMo라는 게 있었다. 나도 이거 맞춰서 글을 쓴 적이 있고... 얼마 전에 AI 회사의 지원을 받고 AI를 이용한 참가를 허용한다고 한 뒤로 많은 사람들의 배척을 받았는데 이제 문을 닫는다고. 만우절 소식인가 싶기도 한데 미국은 아직 만우절 되려면 좀 남아서 아닐 것 같음.

when people are making a fuss because some free software made political choices, for example implementing an Easter egg for the Trans day of visibility, they:

- are trying to gaslight you, because any piece of software that is used by many people is political, in its design choices, in its very existence, etc

- want to profit from free labor without ever having to think about any consequences, all is totally absolutely free for them as if it were obvious that everything was at their free disposal

- they don't want to think about WHO is creating and maintaining the software for them, and spoiler, its often marginalized people. so they want to profit from oppression without compensation
