New Mexico peeps - here is info about statewide local elections that are coming up in 2025...not just info about your particular county, but how the various types of races are set up and how they will look on the ballot.

I'm doing this to help boost civic engagement, voter education and registration and other good stuff.

What local election races will be held in 2025?

The official answer won't be released until about August of this year. The NM Secretary of State will release their Proclamation for the 2025 RLE (Regular Local Election). That document will describe every race in the state, sorted by county (alphabetically).

But I'm providing an excerpt of the 2021 Proclamation that is 99% correct. (More on that in a bit.)

This is the Otero county excerpt of the New Mexico 2021 Election Proclamation. It shows an example of the local races that will be held in 2025. The official 2025 proclamation will be released by the New Mexico Secretary of State around August. This 2021 list is 99% accurate, so it's worth looking over in order to prepare for the elections in November.

We use the AS2.0 structure - Actor, Verb, Object format. e.g Sam (Actor), Plays (Verb), Podnews Weekly (Object). plus attributes Listen Time, Percent Completed, Value Paid.

We enable users to auto publish their activity to X, ActivityPub, BlueSky, Threads and Linkedin.

We allow Creators to do the same.

Hey fedi friends, I used to have some custom keyboard shortcuts in my Magit menus in when it used "transient", and now it … doesn't use that, I don't think, and my old broke and I do not want to reverse engineer the whole thing, I am just … tired. Does anyone happen to know off the top of your head how to add, like, "P" to the "P" menu in magit-status in a way that works on current (20250401.1753) magit?

Mein LAN ist seit drei Tagen auf 100 MBit/s geschrumpft und ich hab hier schon allerlei Tests im Zimmer an meiner Verkabelung gemacht (hab an dem Tag blöderweise auch gesaugt und es darauf geschoben, weil ich auch immer den Tower umdrehe, um am Netzteil zu saugen etc.) und jetzt entdecke ich, dass im Keller der Trockner entfernt worden ist, wo allerlei passive Netzwerkverkabelung draufliegt. Hätte mir meine Mutter davon erzählt, hätte ich mich hier oben nicht blödtesten müssen!

I'm searching for groups that advocate for the mobility challenged – for neighborhood infrastructure improvements.

A friend and I have been discussing neighborhood sidewalks and the challenges some face in places in our city.

Are there organizations that advocate for the mobility challenged so that they can receive neighborhood improvements? Maybe they can give us advice as to legal precedents, tell us about positive trends of municipal action that led to improving things in older neighborhoods that tend to have poorer sidewalks?

Our neighborhood group can engage with City Hall and elected officials better if we have more knowledge and advice.

Are there organizations that offer matching grants for municipalities if they make infrastructure improvements? Are there organizations that conduct surveys and studies to identify recommended actions?
