Mastodon 호환 API를 구현할 계획에 대해 문의 주시는 분들이 종종 계십니다만, 아마도 Hackers' Pub은 앞으로도 Mastodon 호환 API를 구현하지는 않을 것 같습니다. 개인적으로 Mastodon 호환 API가 사용성이 많이 떨어진다고도 생각하고, 이미 Hackers' Pub 고유의 기능들 가운데 Mastodon 호환 API로 표현 불가능한 것들이 좀 있기 때문입니다.

장기적으로는 GraphQL을 이용해 웹 프런트엔드도 크게 개선하고, 모바일 앱까지 만드는 걸 염두에 두고 있습니다.

I would call your attention to a significant sequence of events.

1. Trump attacks Harvard.
2. Harvard refuses to fold.
3. Universities around the country start to form a mutual defense pact against Trump.
4. Trump now says that letter to Harvard was never supposed to be sent.

What it does show is that Trump, like bullies everywhere, folds when he faces firm opposition. So we need to put firm opposition in his face at every opportunity.

最近海棠事件和废文闭站给中文耽美社群带来创伤，很多人觉得无力，「我就这点爱好，那么难实现吗？」是的，事态发展至此，看/写我想看/写的，不再只是私人爱好，也关于「我想要建设什么样的公共生活」。安稳的创作环境不会从天而降，但我相信，对抗无力，就是行动，每个人都能付出自己能够承担代价的行动。只要人还在，我们就有办法重建社群，在动荡环境里不走散。关于可以做些什么，欢迎象友回复补充 :blobcathighfive:

废文闭站我们失去了什么——同时满足发文无审查、包容各种性向和小众题材、新人作者有平等曝光机会、与读者有互动、友好交流的平台。国内平台有审查，商业平台必须签约才有流量；海外无审查平台几乎都被网络防火墙隔离，国内读者难以接触到因此人少。近日创作环境进一步恶化，短时间内很难再出现类似废文的平台，创作者散落四方。我的想法是，利用长毛象已有的机制，建立交流小说的环境，让作者尤其是新人作者增加一个曝光、给读者增加一个淘文的渠道。这个渠道就是利用长毛象的版聊功能。

写给长毛象新用户：

可以把版聊理解成长毛象自动转发机器人。只要你在发的嘟文里艾特了版聊ID，版聊自动转发你的嘟文到主页，关注版聊的用户就会看见。

作者可以写自荐帖，打上关键词tag（长毛象的tag只需一个# 号，比如 ），艾特版聊，就能让更多人看见。因为每个作者所在的平台不同，建议加上发文平台，附上地址就最好了！正在连载的作者也可以自荐，附上「希望有评论」的需求，说不定会捞到好心的读者 :ablobpats:

读者可以写推文并转发到版聊，写好推荐语打好tag，这样可以让别的读者更加方便搜文。如果你不想看到某一类题材，可以在「偏好设置」-「过滤规则」里设置关键词，屏蔽带有这个关键词的嘟文，时间线上剩下你感兴趣的题材。善用过滤功能，维持友好交流的氛围 :blobcatfingerguns:

以及我想对读者说，不要矮化自己「就是个臭看文的」，多点赞评论、和作者互动，能给作者很大的鼓励，你也是社群的建设者！

大家好， 现在已经决定开源了，欢迎大家查看代码提交 PR。

Fread 经历了两年多的开发，从开始到现在一直免费使用，之前由于没考虑好到底是付费下载还是免费所以闭源，仓库里也有很多敏感数据一直没法开源，现在主要功能都开发的差不多了，也是时候开源出来了。

虽然这种项目大部分都是业务代码，但是 Fread 还是有些独特之处的，首先使用的是 Kotlin Multiplatform 和 Compose Multiplatform 做跨平台，目前像 Fread 这么复杂的产品使用这样技术栈的其实很少，并且这是比较新的技术，这点 Fread 有很多参考意义。
另外 Fread 因为要兼容多个社交平台以及混合 Feeds，所以架构设计上下了点功夫，目前可以从架构上兼容这些短博客协议。

总之，虽然确实希望通过 Fread 赚钱，但我更希望自己开发了这么久的 App 有更多的人使用和喜欢。

I need to be very clear, that the push towards "vibe coding" - that is, deliberately deskilling people - is because AI code assistants are an (increasingly expensive) subscription service.

If you know how to code, you can just write Python, C, Java, R, PHP, whatever for free and make things. You may not own the tools of production, but at least you're not renting them.

If you have been deskilled so you only know how to vibe code, you will be paying for that privilege forever.

This also goes, by the way, for researchers who are starting to be convinced they don't need to learn how to be scientists anymore, because "the AI" can just do the science for them. Nope.
