>사람들은 알면 바뀔 것이고 바뀌면 움직일 것이라 믿는 것 같다. 하지만 그렇지 않다. 더더구나 현재의 상태는 어쩔 수 없는 상태가 아니라 누군가에겐 가장 좋은 ‘최적의 상태’임을 기억하자. 기후위기비상행동 기후정치위원회 활동을 하다보면 기후정책과 기후정치를 헷갈려 한다는 이야기를 많이 듣는다. 한편으로 정책과 정치가 상호 연관되어 있고 현재를 분석할 수 있는 힘이 현재를 바꿀 수 있는 힘이라는 점에서 ‘그게 그렇게 구분되나’ 싶지만 다른 한편으론 분석 자체만으로 현재의 상태를 바꿀 수 없다는 점에서 ‘정책이나 사업이 부족한 것은 아닌데’라는 생각을 하게 된다. 산불 사례로 가면 지금과 같은 상황이라면, 산불의 제도적 원인 중 하나인 산림청과 산림조합이라는 기득권이 다시 문제해결의 수단으로 등장할 개연성이 매우 크다. 침엽수로 일원화된 조림이 문제라면 이들이 다시 횬효림으로 조림을 하도록 하면 되는 것 아니냐고 할 수 있다. 이것이 정책적 대안이라면 정치적 대안은 다르다. 현재 조림 정책과 실행을 산림청과 산림조합에 독점시키는 것이 맞는지를 묻고 이들의 기득권을 해체하면서 새로운 숲관리 방법을 적용하는 것이다. 즉 정치적 대안은 늘 세력의 교체를 수반해야 한다. 그런 점에서 기후정치의 문제는 기후위기 문제를 ‘사람이 해결해야 할 책임’으로부터 외면하지 않는데서 시작한다.

I am very surprised that sequoia-chameleon-gnupg seems to work very well as a drop-in replacement. You still need gpg-agent and gpgconf from gnupg but using it with git and sops just worked.
And even if it didn't, with #NixOS it is easy to undo the change again.

이건 좀 억울할 게 부사장도 열심히 해명을 하지만 디스크 레벨(at rest) 암호화 얘기도 아니고 통신 레벨(in transit) 암호화 얘기도 아니고 DB ID랑 암호로 쿼리했을 때 돌아오는 데이터가 암호화되지 않았다고 잘못이라고 하는 것이다. "이중 암호화" 하라는 건데, 일반적인 공격 모델에서 해커는 보통 서버 코드와 변수를 볼 수 있으므로 의미없는 행위다*. 청문회 중 이준석은 어느 순간부터 자신있게 해시를 암호화라고 말하기 시작해서 더욱 혼란스럽게 만드는데, 조금이라도 프로토콜이나 암호학 지식이 있다면 이런 말 못한다.

Today I migrated my private Gitea server from the #FreeBSD VM running on Proxmox VE to a jail running on my FreeBSD NAS, all I had to do was copy /var/db/gitea and /usr/local/etc/gitea/conf/app.ini to the jail, install the gitea pkg and start the service.
This is now the 15th jail running on this NAS, and one VM less on my Proxmox VE. 😁
I've also upgraded the router in front of my firewalls (it only does PPPoE + NAT44 + DHCPv6 prefix delegation), the old one with its 256MB of RAM started rebooting randomly, the new one has 1GB of RAM and is already using 33% of it. I just realised how underpowered the old one was. 😅
Really enjoying working with https://vitest.dev/ on a project that needs to be tested in Node, Safari, Firefox, and Chrome!
My favorite bits:
1. Easy to setup headless browsers with Browser Mode
2. CLI runs in watch mode by default (and not on CI)
3. Has all the `assert` APIs I was used to
4. test.skipIf 🏆
5. `only` works without modifying the CLI command (I know why Node test runner does this but it’s proven more annoying than helpful)
