Yes, we must be responsible, create safe spaces, etc. Yet how we talk with or about other people matters a lot. There's endless debate around developer privilege, sometimes fair, sometimes not. But there is a lot of 'we know what is best for the user' explicit/implicit outcome.

If we are so diverse, why not walk that adventure together, discuss needs beyond the tech circle?

An analogy is development aid, where the West knows best what help to give.. they think.

I am only observing that there is a missing focus on the social side, the soft and fluffy parts that many devs hate. And in return what we build is kind of a technosphere, missing the social layers to really click with people. Unless with the help of some 'digital transformation' which is the opposite of what we should be doing.. bring tech to be supportive of people, anticipate their true needs.

Anyway, I'm side-stepping. You know this well, and do wonders wrt help!

This is going to be a big annoyance to me: a white, red-light running, US citizen cyclist

But it's going to be absolutely life-threatening for people like delivery drivers, who might not be citizens, when ICE shows up to the courtroom and they are never seen again.

They might be running red lights, but it's because of the tech-created system that forces them to disregard safety to feed their family. its not their fault

유심이 털렸다는 건 내 전화번호를 통해서 해커가 본인인증을 통과하고 계정 비밀번호를 임의로 바꿔 탈취할 가능성이 있다는 뜻이기에… 전화번호 외의 보안 장치를 걸어둬야 합니다

OTP나 유비키 같은 게 지원되는 서비스면 아주 좋고요, 그런 거 없는 서비스라면 비밀번호를 최대한 길게! 다른 서비스 비밀번호와 유사하지 않게 재설정하시는 걸 추천드려요…

I’m proud to be joining @Mastodon’s Board of Directors to guide and support this important platform.

I believe that and the represent some of the most important advancements in social networking design and technology. They have the potential to reverse the harms wrought by the monolithic social media platforms of yesterday.

But even more than that, Mastodon and the Fediverse can be so much more than what we are against. We have so much potential. I believe in all of our power to build and change the world. We start by building and convening in healthier online communities because our strength together is far more than the sum of our differences. 今天修了一些bug~~~
1.fix切換伺服器時彈窗壞掉
看起來是套件的問題，看Github論壇調整了一下寫法，目前測試正常
2.fix路由會強制跳到首頁
主要是PWA Service worker 的鍋~但目前測試點一些外部連結時，會開啟PWA中的小視窗，而不是完全跳出PWA，好像沒有完全修到完美
3.fix無法顯示預覽圖
現在有預覽圖惹但有點醜🤣

另外還調了一下導引線的顏色，但變深後發現怎麼還是沒對齊🫠真的是會被css弄到抓狂

不玩了，好想睡覺！

Hey fedi, I need some help!

I am trying to connect an application I am making with the Fediverse. When I search for an actor I am successfully able to get to the profile (yay) but when I search for a post I cannot find it.

I am receiving the GET request and am sending the response with the content type ("application/activity+json") (for example):

Though I have a slight issue with 'users', and feel that with that terminology you already lose the first round, esp. in social networking.

To all the devs who still use "users" as common terminology. They are not your users. They are not junkies where you can just push your warez down their throat. People are checking your software out, for a whole host of different reasons. To see if your solution serves their needs. They are rich individuals with countless human traits, interests and dreams. By using the term you detach yourself emotionally. Don't other them as users. It has an alienating effect, in a time where we need to unite.
