일부러 뱀독을 200번 주사해서 항체를 만들었다는 사람 이야기를 들으니 옛날 왕이 생각나네

미트리다테스 6세 메가스 - 위키백과, 우리 모두의 백과사전

ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/%EB%AF%B

I realised I've now been around here for several years and tooted a ridiculous number of things so it's time for an updated intro to pin to my profile.

I'm Joanna. I live in Melbourne on the lands of the Kulin Nation.

I'm a legal administrator for a conservation not-for-profit. It makes me really happy that my spreadsheet wrangling helps protect threatened creatures and landscapes. In my spare time I'm a (very) amateur but enthusiastic birder- I'm sure neighbours who see me pointing cameras up at trees think I'm strange. I'm obsessed with , get a lot of joy out of trashy dance music and have been getting into . I'm always interested in recommendations. I post quite a bit about things happening in and love discussing what might make this place better. Long walks through Melbourne make me happy. I'm an amateur , mostly of and cute animals (instagram links in bio). I'm also currently trying to learn to speak

Some other interests I probably won't post that much about but would be interested to follow discussions on are and spirituality, and Indigenous history and culture.

“The AI jobs crisis is here, now - by Brian Merchant”

bloodinthemachine.com/p/the-ai

> The unemployment rate for recent college graduates is unusually high—and historically high in relation to the general unemployment rate

"AI" is killing entry-level jobs, which means that a few years down the line companies won't have senior labour to hire.

This also shows that talk about “AI literacy” and “AI skills” is a joke. You’re not gonna need any skills if employers aren’t employing in the first place

Pinning this. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I 100% consent to receiving infodumps. In fact, I far prefer them to yet another boring conversation about the weather... I might actually *gasp* learn something!

how low-latency is the ? with USB involved, you'd think the answer is "not very".

not so much! on a workload involving interactive JTAG probing of a target (i.e. it's not synthetic, between the received packet and the transmitted packet the FPGA actually talks to a DUT) the lowest latency I'm seeing is ~80µs, which implies you get the answer in the same microframe you send the request

(it takes about 40 µs to actually perform the work, in this scenario)
