🚨 Known Issue: Elk (
@elk) login may fail on Hollo instances upgraded from 0.5.x to 0.6.x with 401 Unauthorized errors. Fresh 0.6.x installs work fine. Other clients (Phanpy, Moshidon) are unaffected.
We're investigating: https://github.com/fedify-dev/hollo/issues/167
Workaround: Use alternative clients like Phanpy (
@phanpy) for now.
Fixed in Hollo 0.6.2, so update it now!

We're looking at a mocking tool called ActivityFuzz. It provides you ways to emulate activities from various fediverse platforms (misskey, gotosocial, etc.) and test them without spinning up each one individually for testing! The data is pulled from the Fediverse Schema Observatory.
Lots of excitement among the attendees for this one. Follow

I might go revive my long-ignored Stack Overflow account for this, but: Today, I was thinking about Smalltalk, and about its "become" method. I understand that this wasn't often used, because it was slow. It was slow, I read today, because it needed to do a scan over the heap. So, a question just for any Smalltalk expert out there: It seems this could be cheap with a level of indirection. Two-star programming. Is the objection just that this makes normal things slower?
