I'm really intrigued by @mas.to@schickling's LiveStore.dev. I already use , and it fits with the kind of apps I currently build for Dropserver.org : personal non-public productivity/organization for small groups.

Data syncing between server and clients has been a pain point of every web-app I have built in the last 18 years.

For example lack of good sync in my Shopping List app (shoppinglist.olivierforget.net) means we sometimes miss buying things at the store! Literally 😔

I've thought of hacky ways of keeping the data synced, but it all seems so under-developed. It needs to be tackled thoroughly. This would fix that.

남들의 덕질 애정도가 70/100 이면 난 4/10 이런 건데.. 다들 나보고 그건 덕질이 아니래? 아니 총량 자체가 다른데...?

속상한 것보단 안 알아줘서 알못들아..!!!! 하는 루파지만... 연탐 가좍들아 이런 덕질도 나쁘지 않다고 도닥여줘...

The latest post from @baldurBaldur Bjarnason and the hype around AI in software engineering suddenly reminded me of a homeopathy market in Russia. Hear me out, you'll see why it is relevant and might be important.

(I left Russia almost 10 years ago, so not all the details might be up to date)

The medication market in Russia is largely unregulated. It is unregulated in a very interesting way: the company does not really have to offer rigorous proof that their medication works according to the claims. "Fakeomycins", as they're sometimes called by skeptics, include not just homeopathy, but medication that is not proven to work, and medication that distracts the patient from the problem.

Due to this, people are either paying for things that do not help ("Arbidol", miracle cold cure that after 30 years on market still has no evidence of efficiency, sells 70 million packs a year), or getting a placebo when they need real medication.

Why? How come? Well...
