getting into the mode of neodb logging, a sort of bookmark of media โ and the the categories are officially like they are displayed in the piecelet app (I have not used it)
- Books
- Movies
- TV (series)
- Music (albums)
- Games
- Podcasts
- Theatre performances
This is somewhat limiting โ For instance, when podcasts, why not videologs or blogs?
While I recently watched ARTMS Icarus cinematic ver. presumably created by Digipedi,
I could log it under Music albums with a reference to the video, or I could try and force it into the Movies category as a short but i will probably have problems linking a imdb-id (seems like a fan where logging Digipedi creations but were cut off in 2021, perhaps for not aligning with the imdb format) https://m.imdb.com/name/nm10996650
there are and have been other reference databases than imdb โ they all seem to crumble at the vastness of media
watching the ARTMS Icarus cinematic ver. made me think of the format for Vitalic / Vincent Gallo The legend of Kaspar Hauser Check out this film on MUBI: The Legend of Kaspar Hauser, except that was a full feature, perhaps sometimes cut to pieces โ can be easily logged as a movie
- https://mubi.com/films/the-legend-of-kaspar-hauser
- https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1887785/
besides there are categories like articles, then perhaps it becomes more obvious it is a bookmark
there are other tools for keeping track of articles for research projects, but reading technical literature there might be difficult to keep those books or collections of articles out of the books category
I'm not sure I really want a tool to track everything โ but I keep coming back to this as a possible
