Thinking about code size reminded me of being a kid in the 90s and reading through code like github.com/legacy-codedigger/a for the first time while trying to understand all the little tricks and nuances. There are probably even better examples but the apack/aplib depacker is tight.

I wasn't happy with 8 different themes on my website, so there's now a 9th one, which lets you customise the main settings. It's driven by about a dozen custom properties (I love theming in CSS holy heck…I should write about it). It was a good… distraction, to build this.

Anyway, maybe you want some "Matrix" or bubble gum style instead of my painstakingly and lovingly crafted themes? That's fine, express yourself everywhere! Even on my personal website!

Have a go: chriskirknielsen.com/

My personal website with a popup named "Theme Customisation" listing a bunch of options of colour and fonts.A customised version of my site which is dark blue with bright green text, using a monospace font throughout. It's not the Matrix, but as close as you can get.A customised version of my site which is uses a light pink background and saturated pink as a text colour. It uses Comic Sans for headings, making it feel like a bubble gum universe of sorts.

@N3bul4T0a5t
Dann schau was Parteien/Politiker/Medien sagen.

Y'ALL.

I just got home from the protest in .

Early numbers reports and a statement from the rally podium say THIS WAS THE BIGGEST PROTEST IN HISTORY.

It was gorgeous.

We marched for about 1.2 miles to the rallying point outside City Hall. This took about 30 min.
Spouse & I were with 5 friends (3 more joined us later). By the time we had been at the rallying point for 20 min, the marchers further back WERE STILL COMING.

Literally every flavor of human represented.

I know, I keep coming back to this. And this isn't about Liquid Glass...

I think we're in this awful state of layouts because of full-height sidebars and compressing the title bar into the toolbar.

Full-height sidebars do not aid in anything. They just serve to eat more of your toolbar space. When you mix that with combining the toolbar with the titlebar -- well you end up with no space at all...

I think this forced Apple Design to moving player controls to the bottom.
