어제부터 Jujutsu라는 버전 관리 시스템을 써보고 있습니다. git의 branch는 연속적인 단일 작업을 표현하는 느낌이 강하게 드는데 사실 그저 어느 commit을 가리키는 포인터일 뿐이라는 걸 느끼게 해주네요. Jujutsu에서는 같은 커밋에서 다음 커밋을 여러 개 만들면 그게 브랜치이고, 여러 커밋을 parent로 하는 커밋을 하나 만들면 그게 머지이고, 수정이 다 끝나면 그냥 원하는 브랜치 이름의 포인터를 적절히 옮기면 됩니다. 부분 변경을 커밋 간에 자유롭게 옮길 수 있는 것까지 합치면 재미있는 사용 방법이 많이 있을 것 같습니다. 특히 megamerge workflow를 쓰면 git 쓰다가 생겼던 "지금 하는 작업을 끝내야 다음 변경사항을 작업"하는 강박이 해소될 것 같아 기대가 많이 됩니다.

Today's group bike ride¹ took us from Danforth and Victoria Park up to the park paths of Unionville and then some of old Unionville, both of which were as scenic and lovely as ever (if only they weren't so far away to get to), and then as usual back down Pharmacy at some speed (for me), because I got surprisingly enthused and was apparently willing to put myself through somewhat of a wringer. It was a lovely cool but sunny day for a ride.

The problem is that this pattern seems pervasive across their new calls. There seem to be so many calls where they are essentially neutering any other solution - even if these would actually be superior for creativity-driven innovation, supporting decision-making within public administration, contributing to our bioeconomy - or really any other topic.
Funding should be about helping to engineer the best solutions, not helping to overheat hype.

I work in a lab, and I caught myself wondering what happens if - instead of stirring my coffee - I instead hold the spoon still and move the mug in increasingly larger circles. Result: Ruined keyboard.
Ghostty will soon be visible to accessibility tooling on macOS. This is increasingly important in the world of AI since this means that tools like ChatGPT, Claude, etc. can now read Ghostty's screen contents too (with permission). This feature is also relatively rare!
Only the built-in Terminal, iTerm2, and Warp also support this. Kitty, Alacritty, and others are invisible to a11y on macOS.
Beyond the screen contents, Ghostty's structure is also visible, navigable, and resizable such as its split as can be seen in the attached video. Ghostty and iTerm2 are the only terminals that expose structure too (splits, tabs).
This is a v1 implementation that is primarily read-only. I plan on iterating and improving a11y interactions in future versions.
