부인과 자식은 내 성취를 의미하는 보상 트로피가 아니다.
열심히 노력한다고 해서 반드시 부가 주어지지 않는다.
나쁜짓을 하지 않았는데도 사고를 당하고 누군가와 다툼이 나 상처를 받는다.

사회의 기대에 부응하며 착한 아이가 되고 싶을 수록 왜 나는 칭찬과 인정을 못받는 불리한 조건에서 살아야 하냐는 푸념을 내뱉기도 쉽다.

다들 태어나자마자나한테 빚을 많이 져서, 응애하면서 나 주인공 만들어주고 칭찬 이빠이 해주는 일은 없다.

"나 혼자 독식", "나 혼자 전생해서 다 이겨먹는" 시리즈의 초점은 아주 명확하다. 그렇지만 보는 사람이 가진 맥락에 따라 해석이 달라진다. 비대한 자아를 끝도 없이 채워야 하는 게 당연하다고 믿는 환상과 현실의 경계를 잘 구분 짓지 못하는 사람도 이런 시리즈에 빠지 쉬울듯 하다.

밥을 어느정도 먹으면 배가 부른 게 정상인 것처럼.... 사회적 인정을 추구하는 욕구도 마찬가지다.

왜 그렇게 심한 결핍을 느껴서, 먹어도 먹어도 부족한 비대한 자아가 되려는 지, 종교시설을 찾아서 시간을 보내면 좋지않을까....

자본주의 사회는 비대한 자아를 추구하도록 만든다. 그래야 돈을 벌어서 비대한 자아를 전시하기 위해 끝도 없이 소비로 꼴아박는 것은 물론이고. 온 신경을 자본이 굴러가는 것에 쏠리도록 할 수 있기 때문이다.

남자로 태어나 남성 역할로 사는 건 확실히 비대한 자아를 추구하게 되기가 너무 쉽다.

삶은 왜 나한테만 가혹한가? 엉엉엉.... 울고 싶으면 울어도 된다.

나도 비대한 자아와 기투된 현실의 괴리 때문에 벼라별 마음을 다 먹었다. 나만 그렇것도 아니고. 세상에 던져진 인간, 사회에 던져진 인간이라면 겪는 일이다.

결국은 받아들이는데... 너무 쓰라려서 이걸 누구에게라도 쏟아 버리고 싶은 유혹이 너무 심했다.

쏟지 않아서 그래도 다행이라고 생각한다. 안그래도 이불킥할 일 산더미다.

이렇게 쓰고도 또 비대한 자아와 열등감에 시달리다가 또 잠시 편안한 삶을 반복하며 산다. 그러니까.. 그렇게 심하게 아프지 말자.

Similar to @alice🅰🅻🅸🅲🅴 (🌈🦄) I'll be moving some of my less SFW content over to @AltAfterDark from this point onwards. I'm spoiled by the long character limit on this instance so some of my longer pieces will likely remain here.

We have a shared goal with the #AltAfterDark project to improve the experience and accessibility of NSFW content. When I see art, I can have a symphony of emotions. Everyone should be able to have that sort of experience. People using a screen reader should be able to hear the poetry in a piece of work. People who are more lexic than visual should be able to read what they are seeing, and so on.

Some other simple objectives for the project include the following:

- Original content by Fedi artists
- All consensually obtained
- CWs / sensitive flags where needed
- Appropriate hashtags, no spam
- Alt-text so good you'll blush
- Mods and community that care
- Content that celebrates sexuality

If that sounds good to you, I'd love it if you joined us there and helped make it a reality.

Horrifying news about the VA:

Until the recent changes, VA hospitals’ bylaws said that medical staff could not discriminate against patients “on the basis of race, age, color, sex, religion, national origin, politics, marital status or disability in any employment matter”. Now, several of those items – including “national origin,” “politics” and “marital status” – have been removed from that list.

Similarly, the bylaw on “decisions regarding medical staff membership” no longer forbids VA hospitals from discriminating against candidates for staff positions based on national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, membership in a labor organization or “lawful political party affiliation”.

Dr Arthur Caplan, founding head of the division of medical ethics at New York University’s Grossman School of Medicine, called the new rules “extremely disturbing and unethical”.

I keep seeing comparisons along the lines of "trying to ban LLMs in classrooms is like trying to ban calculators!"

There's something interesting buried in there, I think. Calculators possibly have made me worse at basic arithmetic, sure. But I'm OK with that because basic arithmetic isn't something I especially want to spend my time doing, given that calculators exist.

So what tasks do LLMs automate away, and that'd I'd like to be rid of?
