Because a true individualist would be aware of the reduced agency when everybody becomes algorithmically manipulated and controlled. There is a paradox of viciously defending physical property / ownership but having no concept of digital sovereignty.

MBC, JTBC 등 한국 방송 뉴스를 계엄 뒤로 챙겨보게 되었는데, 더불어 트럼프의 무역 전쟁 때문에 미국 뉴스 채널들도 몇 개 챙겨 본다. 미국 뉴스에 없고 한국 뉴스들에 보이는 트렌드가 있는데... 미중 무역전쟁 때는 중국이 굉장히 어려운 상황에 처해 있는 것처럼 나오고, 이번 이스라엘 이란 전쟁에 관해서는 이란이 당장이라도 망할 것처럼 나온다. 근데 미국 매체들에서는 양쪽 모두에 관해 전혀 그렇지 않았다. 단 하나, 폭스 뉴스만 빼고... 한국의 외국 소식은 소스가 어딘가...?

Its not an accident that AI is pushed by a specific type of culture and people.
Before this particular set of algorithms reached the maturity and capabilities it now has, the same type of people exploited simple algorithms to classify and sell people's behavior as if they were product.
But societies left and right not only did not recoil in disgust at the inhumanity but rewarded them with billions.
We have never atoned for this fundamental betrayal of humanistic principles.
