한국퀴어영화제 갔다가 왔음
후기: 동행인과 좋았던 영화픽이 똑같았고 호불호 후기 나누는데 또이또이 비슷해서 서로 으하학 웃었음…
비가시화된 퀴어에 대한 이야기
영화제 가기 전부터 예측은 했지만, 정말 동성애 작품들이 위주였고요 퀴어 이야기에서 죽음과 섹슈얼은 늘 빠지지 않는 주제라 조금 괴로웠음
이 셋이 서로 떼어놓을 수 없는 관계성을 갖고있다는걸 잘 알지만 전 섹슈얼한 요소를 원래 잘 못 봄 그게 적나라하면 할 수록 더 그렇고요
같이 간 동행인은 에이엄이고 나도 퀘스처닝으로 정체성 확립 안 하고 있고, 할 마음 없지만 그레이에 가까움
그래서 둘다 영화관 나오면서 하는 평이 엇비슷할 수밖에 없었는데?
섹슈얼한 연출에 대한 무관심, 불호 만이 아니라 《퀴어영화》라는 타이틀을 달고 있어도 가시화, 감독의 역량, 퀴어라는 걸 계속 증명해야하는 구조 등의 문제로 동성애 작품이 주류고 그 외의 다른 정체성은 다뤄지지 않는게 좀 씁쓸했던 것 같음
그런 이유로 유일하게 호평을 내린 영화가 동성애 탄압으로 시작되어 끝에는 고발영화가 되는 작품이었음
연출이나 메시지나 아름다웠다고 생각함
