사상 최대의 블랙홀 합체 관측 성공!
미국, 이탈리아, 일본 위치 고감도 레이저 간섭계 '라이고-비르고-카그라(LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA, LVK) 협력단’의 공동 관측으로 발견.
’GW231123’로 명명된 이 쌍성 블랙홀은
각각 태양 100배 / 140배에 달하는 블랙홀들이
오랜시간 서로를 향해 회전하다 종국에 합쳐진것!
그 질량은 태양의 225배에 달한다고-
합체시 사라진 질량의 일부가 중력파로 전환,
지구 관측소에 딱 걸린거죠.
이 블랙홀의 가장 특이한점은 각각의 질량인데,
보통 별이 태양 질량 100배가 넘으면 블랙홀이 되기도 전에 폭발해버리는데, 합체전 중량도 너무 컸던것!
연구진들은 이번에 합쳐진 두 블랙홀이 이전에 다른 작은 블랙홀을 합쳐서 생성된게 아닌가 추측한다고.

Both #NodeBB and #Discourse offer #ActivityPub integration and have AP-themed forums / forum categories sync their federated content. Posting on a forum first has the advantage that it leaves a track record / archive (and has generally a better UI for discussions :)

阿富汗南部城市坎大哈近日持續高溫，氣溫突破攝氏40度，酷熱難當。有市民近日發現街上不少的士車頂出現「奇怪裝置」，車窗更接駁粗大的抽氣管道，原來是司機自製的冷氣系統，用以對抗極端天氣。
有的士司機表示，車內原有冷氣已失靈，但專業維修費用高昂，無奈下唯有另覓方法，請技工「度身訂造」手工冷氣。據悉裝置原理不複雜，為風扇結合水箱，利用水蒸發產生涼風，再透過粗管將冷風引入車廂，每日需加水兩次維持運作。
阿富汗今年4至6月錄得歷來最熱春季，聯合國糧農組織警告，持續乾旱正在重創當地農作物及農村生計。專家憂慮，氣候變化恐令阿富汗的人道危機進一步惡化。
自2021年塔利班上台後，阿富汗一直被排除於聯合國氣候會談之外，國際支援有限，令當地人民唯有自力更生應對氣候災難。
