So many video outlets use YT for their live stream and clips. If and had a shared site and mobile/TV app, they could say to them, how about you stop relying on Google or any other middlemen and instead fully control it? Work with us to build/maintain/promote a similar (but FOSS and decentralized) service to what YT provides?

Watch "It's Basic" for free this week, a documentary by Michael Tubbs, founder of Mayors for a Guaranteed Income, following several GMI pilot programs. I can't say enough great things about Mr. Tubbs. He's an inspiration to me. youtube.com/watch?v=fAYBGYgQzzc

Not sure if anyone likes Primus (the band) and/or did follow their open call for a new drummer. Man, I loved everything about it. That a band, well connected in their scene, is openly looking for a new drummer. That a guy was picked, that maybe wasn't the most virtuous of all of them, but fitted from his whole attitude and style (and great playing of course). That it was not someone who used to play in another well-known band, but someone who could not believe that he is riding this now. 🤘

Challenge: "Name 20 female authors you admire, 1 per day"

N. K. Jemisin.

Incredibly powerful writing and writes science fiction and fantasy that I actually enjoy reading after getting disillusioned with the Tolkein lineage for its deep racism & colonialism. Her Stone Sky series is wildly creative in terms of world building, had an excellent epic plot to rival any of the other greats you could name, has complex and compelling characters, and a satisfying conclusion. She's won the right awards, and I hope that that translates into a lineage of people building in her ideas as rich as Tolkien's.

The crates.io team was notified of two malicious crates (with similar names as legitimate crates) which were actively searching file contents for Etherum private keys, Solana private keys, and arbitrary byte arrays for exfiltration. The malicious crates have been removed.
