Now it would be a good time for hardware makers and the open hardware community to come up with new great laptop designs.

I'm hoping that more people are working hard to deliver the lightweight and safe software to make them possible.

If we do both, all the bloat makers are left without a business.

공자의 正名을 얘기할 때 "명분을 바르게 한다"거나 "사회적 역할을 바로잡는다" 같은 식으로 설명하는 일이 많은데, 그런 뜻으로도 확장이 되겠지만 가장 근본적으로는 그냥 사슴을 사슴이라 부르고 말을 말이라 부르는 것을 뜻한다고 생각한다. 어떤 실재를 부를 때 가감없이 정확한 언어를 사용해야 왜곡이 없다. 말을 비틀고 대체하는 것은 당초 목적이 왜곡인 경우가 많기도 하고.

AI 투자붐이 미국 경기를 간신히 지탱 중인데 도이치 뱅크에 따르면 빅테크의 데이터센터 투자가 없었으면 올해 경기 침체 근접했을 듯하다고 하는데... 지금은 이런식으로 GDP를 떠받침 중이나 이런 투자 증가세가 ‘포물선’으로 유지해야만 지속가능하고 즉 그럴 가능성은 낮다고 경고. 웃픈점은 실제 인공지능 발전 덕에 성장 기여가 이뤄지는것이 아니고 대부분이 공사와 인프라 같은 건설 단계에서 나온다고 즉 정작 AI 서비스 매출은 GDP에 의미 있는 증가를 이끌어내지 못함 🙃 www.techspot.com/news/109626-...

Remember Kids:

Don't gatekeep or harass people about the tools they use!

It's okay to gently offer a suggestion and ask their reasoning for using something, but constantly bugging them to use "X" or making them feel bad for using a thing that works for them is not good!

Let people use the tools that they know, work well with, and work well for them! Don't be an asshole!

But I would like to say, if at all possible, especially in the FOSS space, we should try to guide people away from using things that are built by bigots, abusers, transphobes, etc, those projects don't deserve the support.
