What is Hackers' Pub?

Hackers' Pub is a place for software engineers to share their knowledge and experience with each other. It's also an ActivityPub-enabled social network, so you can follow your favorite hackers in the fediverse and get their latest posts in your feed.

Why does no one feel our suffering anymore?
Today, water flooded our home… a home with no doors, no windows, nothing to protect us. My children stood shaking from the cold, crying.
I’m a desperate mother—caught between hunger, freezing nights, and Nasser’s daily treatment that I can’t afford.
Please… don’t leave us alone.
We are drowning in pain, and I have no way to save my children without you💔

🤔 What if there were a conference without talks? Just hanging out with OSS maintainers & builders, seeing what they’re working on, and learning cool stuff by actually talking to people. 🤯 What if hallway track turned into the whole event! 💡 @tannerlinsley.com is exploring it. Interested? ⬇️

I shrank down SwiftGodot for those that just want to expose APIs to Godot, but do not need to control Godot, and added a template that you can use to make your own:

This leverages the new "barebones" SwiftGodot work:

エーアイの使用を禁止しているわけでもなかったポリシーからエーアイを使用した場合は明示するというポリシーに変更したら叩かれて、一方でその代替として挙がるプロジェクトは黙ってエーアイを使用するのであった……とかいうオチになったりしない?

Under the banner of "patriotic tech", this new bloc is building the infrastructure of control—clouds, AI, finance, drones, satellites… It is faster, ideological, and fully privatized: a regime where corporate boards, not public law, set the rules.

Our investigation shows how these firms now operate as state-like powers—writing the rules, winning the tenders, and exporting their model to Europe, where it poses a direct challenge to democratic governance. authoritarian-stack.info

We wrote up a blog post detailing our development and quality assurance workflow. We describe how new contributions are merged into the code base, and we address the change to our policy regarding AI-assisted code submissions and the concerns raised about it. keepassxc.org/blog/2025-11-09-

"The Running Man" 2025 is getting so-so reviews (63% on Rotten Tomatoes) but we'll still watch it because we love the work of director Edgar Wright. Here's what @IndieWire thought of the movie, an adaptation of Stephen King's 1982 novel. We want to know, which do you think is the best Edgar Wright movie? (We're excluding this one, which we assume you haven't seen, his 1995 debut, "A Fistful of Fingers," which we also assume you haven't seen, and his "Sparks" documentary.)
