Sure, that's about the max my VPS can handle, but if I turned off zstd compression for garbage responses, it would be able to serve about twice as much, if not more. But I like to keep my bandwidth down, so ~650req/sec is what I'll top out at.
It is entirely possible to tell the bots to fuck off. It works, it scales well, it isn't even very hard.
Let's be clear: What they want is privacy for the monarchs and nobles, and to remove it entirely from the peasants.
Because they want to control the peasants.
They want to control us, entirely.
We never left feudalism, the monarchs and nobles simply changed their titles and fashion, while letting us believe we could become one of them someday.
But we will always remain exploitable and expendable peasants to them.
We cannot wait after them to improve our lives. We must organize to take the power back to the people, where it belongs.

Seriously, this artist did something legitimately difficult: *Not be on the Internet*. The only google hits for the band or the songs were… last.fm records of *some*, not all, of the Tidal tracks being played, with the weird misnamings from Tidal, implying those were scrobbled from the computer of whoever owns the Tidal account. No indication of where in the world this was recorded, is it a solo artist or a band. Only: In an (unintentional?) Jandek echo, one photo of the musician playing guitar.

I hate it that when I am watching a series with subtitles, that when another language is spoken than English, the subtitles say: “speaking Spanish”. Yeah thanks. I don’t speak Spanish (or Russian or whatever) so why don’t they provide a translation?! That’s what subtitles are for!
