Moin ihr lieben, hier der ab sofort regelmäßige Betteltoot. Meine Liebste hat es während der Corona-Pause ziemlich heftig mit Multipler Sklerose zerlegt und sie hat erst nach der reibungslosen SFSCon den Mut gefasst, es erstmals mit Rollstuhl auf dem Congress zu versuchen. Vor der Pause war sie in Leipzig noch zu Fuß unterwegs. Da wir neue Vorkehrungen hinsichtlich der Unterkunft treffen müssten, wäre ein nicht so kurzfristiges Ticket für sie wirklich der absolute Hammer. #39c3

그 다음에 든 생각은, 이미 물리학에서 LLM AI가 논문 생산에 성과를 내고 있다고 하는데, 언젠가는 AI가 만든 논문을 아무도 이해하지 못하고 그냥 거기 나온 실험으로 검증만 하는 상황도 오지 않을까? LLM의 특성상 AI도 사실 그 논문을 이해하는 것이 아니라면, 아무도 이해한 적 없지만 사실이기는 한 지식이 과학과 문명의 기반이 될 수도 있지 않을까?

Cloudflare's problems today confirmed what I have known for a long time: if a customer is down for half an hour due to some kind of server issue (disk replacement, etc.), they immediately start saying a way must be found to avoid it.
When it's Cloudflare that goes down for hours, they accept it with resignation.

They demand 97%+ uptime from the infrastructure, which, ok, the providers say they give.
Then they demand 99%+ uptime from the applications on that infrastructure. And, I asked, they don't mean 97%*99%: they fully expect the server apps to be operational when the infrastructure isn't.
