I hate boosts. I can turn them off for my timeline and all that but trying to look at someone’s profile on their original instance SUCKS. I’m trying to determine if I want to follow them but instead of getting anything about them, what they think, what they post, I get to see a bunch of other random people’s posts. Truly genius.

CanvaがAffinityをLinuxに移植することを検討しているそう
Canvaに買収される前は、「Linuxに移植する気なんて全然無いし、言ってくるな」と言ってたのにどういう気持ちの変化なんだろう。買収されて余裕が出てきたのか、それともCanva側からの提案なのか。どっちにせよ歓迎されると思うので移植するといいんじゃないの。自分は昔の態度もあるからどっちでもいいという気分だけど #canva #affinity #linux

If you tone police and drive away people trying to create a better environment more than you criticize and drive away people causing material harm, you might as well be advocating for material harm
I'm so tired of seeing this pattern over and over again. I see this on the Fediverse, in friend groups, in communities, in small organizations, and in large workplaces.
A system is what it does. If your system tolerates bad people, it doesn't matter that you intended harsher punishments or criticism of the bad people than of the people who didn't want to tolerate the bad people.

ㅇㅋ. immich 마이그레이션은 벌크 업로더를 고쳐 업로드 완료된 파일을 검사해 기록하고 업로드 안된 파일만 재시도하도록 수정해 검증중. OCR은 자잘한 글씨는 잘 안되고 동물을 인식하지는 않지만 사람 얼굴은 잘 인식함. 또 구글포토와 몹시 비슷한 수준으로 앱, 웹 모두 부드럽게 동작하고 있음.

マップルのベクタータイルマップすごいなー。紙版の地図がほぼ再現されてて軽快に動く。まだ実験みたいでフォントの詰めが甘い部分あるけど許容範囲だし、ズームしても同じように見えるのは、すごく良い

If you have a Liberal MP, you might consider writing to or calling them to let them know this is insane (for any number of very good reasons - you pick). As an historian, I can tell you that the archives are full of angry letters to MPs, cabinet members, and PMs and that at certain times waves of correspondence moving in the same direction have changed policy.
You might consider demonstrating too. A similar observation applies.
