One thing that happened to me today:
Had a config dir mounted in my DNS jail on /var/unbound.

Destroyed the jail, re-created it: the config that I stored outside got overwritten.

Of course I could have mounted the directory as read only, but I'm more like wondering if the whole approach is just wrong

On another note, it's a good feeling to see all the users who have already Bounced, or just used Bounce to see what their multi-protocol graph looks like. We don't expect folks to use this every day, but it's serving the purpose it was built for, and that gives me a lot of hope.

Also realizing how many times I was willing to try new spaces not owned by me to build communities. Fooled me far too many times before I realized what was missing.

Writing about why the existence of Bounce is so personal for me, and it's been tough to relive memories of the communities I've lost.

The web is a beautiful place, but it's always at risk of being stolen from us. I feel so fortunate to be a part of a coalition of builders + users fighting for it.
