It's clear to me that some Korean gender-critical feminists, also known as TERFs, don't understand the true effects of the recent amendment to the Act on the Protection of Children and Youth Against Sex Offenses.
From Article 13 (Intent) of the Criminal Act:
> An act performed through ignorance of the facts that constitute a crime shall not be punishable: Provided, That this shall not apply where a statute provides otherwise.
The amended law still won't punish people who were unaware of the facts that constitute sex offenses against children or youth.

사법부가 독립성을 가져야 하는 것은 원칙적으로 맞다 : 다만 이따위 부패한 개자식들이 법을 빙자해서 자신들의 지배 능력에 대해서 어떠한 터치도 받지 않겠다고 하는 장치로써는 아니다. 법의 통치는 법을 도구화하는 사람 앞애서 가장 현저히 무효화된다. 그렇기에 같은 법의 이름으로는 교정되지 않는다. ”내란 엘리트를 권력구조에서 쓸어내는 건 불법이야!“ 라고 발악하는 놈들에게 아니, 너희가 불법이다, 라고 말하려면 우리는 그들과는 다른 법전을 채택해야만 하지 않을까?
내가 이걸 어떻게 여기었든 간에 한국은 그러지 않는 길을 선택했다 : 기존의 제도적 권위를 부정하지 않으면서 제도 내에서 (지난 대선은 어디까지나 “21대” 대선이었고 이재명은 여전히 6공화국 대통령이다. 기존 체제가 가진 권위를 깨지 않고(우린 여전히 사법부의 결정을 ‘존중’하고 있음) 그게 가능하다는 믿음을, 아직 뭔가 남아서인지 뭔지 모르겠지만 유지했기 때문에 걸어온 경과다. 그리고 그 믿음은 지금 reality check의 순간을 맞이했다. 기존 제도 하에서 권위의 민주적 정통성을 회복하는 건 현실적으로 가능한가?
추경호 구속영장 기각과 사법부의 라인 - 난 이것 때문에 개헌시도를 선호해 왔었다. 내란은 유혈로 번지지 않았을지언정 실질적으로는 체제의 붕괴였으니까. 12/3은 권위주의 권력(현실)이 민주정의 탈(표면적 제도)을 벗은 순간이었고 그 시점에서 6공화국은 polity로써의 수명을 다 했음 - 재건국에 준하는 해체와 재구성은 불가피하다고 봤다. 체제의 integrity 를 유지하면서 자정하는 게 가능한 손상이 있고 아닌 손상이 있는 법인데, 윤석열 정권은 확실하게 후자였지 않은가? 적어도 내겐 그렇다.
