Go vegan! Für Tier, Mensch und Umwelt. 🐄🐖🐔

Mit unserer Silent Line, Flyern und Gesprächen konnten wir viele erreichen nun vegan zu werden. 🫶

A completely new language to me is Janet with which @abnvAbhinav 🌏 commands with elegance to solve these problems.

It's so cool to see completely new languages and learn from different ways of solving problems.

The 14 women murdered in 1989 were Geneviève Bergeron, Hélène Colgan, Nathalie Croteau, Barbara Daigneault, Anne-Marie Edward, Maud Haviernick, Maryse Laganière, Maryse Leclair, Anne-Marie Lemay, Sonia Pelletier, Michèle Richard, Annie St-Arneault, Annie Turcotte and Barbara Klucznik-Widajewicz.

Thirteen others were injured in the anti-feminist attack perpetrated by Marc Lépine, who took his own life. He had ranted about feminists ruining his life.

I was a young girl when the Polytechnique massacre happened on December 6th.

14 beautiful lives with brilliant brains taken because of some egotistical and ignorant misogynistic monster.

The intent of the message was clear for any young woman in STEM, “You do not belong here and it is dangerous”.

But this is wrong.

We do belong.
We always did.
And everyday,
by persevering,
we prove him wrong.

@Em0nM4stodonEm :official_verified: What a horrible act. I was actually not familiar with this (sorry, American). Women have been part of STEM since before it had a name and gave us some of the most important aspects of the tech stack.

I went and read up on that senseless and was shocked to see that Canada actually DID SOMETHING in response. At least the victims were stood up for after the fact. We have events like this all the time here in the states and nobody does anything about it.

"The incident led to more stringent gun control laws in Canada, and increased action to end violence against women. It also resulted in changes in emergency services protocols to shootings, including immediate, active intervention by police. These changes were later credited with minimizing casualties during incidents in Montreal and elsewhere. The massacre remained the deadliest mass shooting in Canada until the 2020 Nova Scotia attacks over 30 years later"
