This is really disturbing and dangerous. It's more insidious than censorship because viewers cannot tell a video has been altered.

However, it already looked something like this. Corporate America approved candidates only were all that were on the ballot. It'll be formalized though.

The music is almost certainly AI-generated as well, it's completely generic trash.
This all makes sense, because the techbros making the game literally do not care about any of that stuff, except in that it might be cool to make an AI do it.
They don't have enough human vision to WANT something. They don't want a specific performance, or music that has a specific tone, or layouts that hit a certain way-
They're just drunk on the idea of Space Is Kewl, and they never stepped one inch further.
It's striking to me how important vision is to the final result of games.
We've gone so far down this road of "fidelity", we seem to think that the only thing that matters in a game is how good it looks.
We also talk a lot about how a game is almost never "one person" - it's a team!
But there should always be a vision. SOMEONE on that team had better care a fucking lot about what the game is trying to actually be.
And these days, that's... really rare.

For those of you who don't know, SE2 went all-in on AI, they're a bunch of hopeless techbros that accidentally created a compelling game once.
But the AI voice acting is sooooo bad. It's literally on the level of the free AI voices some YouTubers paste in to pretend they have friends.
It's irrational and I shouldn't be doing it, but I'm still arranging the posts in my music thread as if they were being serialized for Cohost. When I used to repost on Cohost each week of the thread was like "here's a five-song mix tape, and then 2 bonus tracks after the 'read more' jump". So STILL I'll often have a kind of implied theme over the course of a week and the weekend tracks will in some way free-associative connect to a preceding weekday track. There is no reason for me to do this!!

There was no real market rationale for including AI in Calibre. It's not like people were going to switch to a competitor if it didn't have AI integration, because Calibre effectively has no competitors. It's the one name that always crops up when you ask how to do something even moderately complicated with ebooks. And now people are actively looking for alternatives.
