I started reading the book: Beginning Game Audio Programming by Mason McCuskey (2003). A fact that I didn't know about: the 74-minute length of the first audio CDs was specifically designed to fit Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. A composer who died several hundred years ago had such a great influence on the formation of one of the most ubiquitous parts of audio technology. I thought it was the adult film industry that influenced this.
