I should take the Vivaldi web browser for a spin (testing). I have not yet.

One of the main reasons is that it includes a Feed Reader (RSS). That's a feature that most other browsers have removed, including Firefox.

@cssCSS by T. Afif :verified: I wondered if someone had made an SVG-to-CSS-shape translator, and of course you already had. (I should have expected, honestly.) What I’m wondering is, do you have a translator that goes the other way, so someone could use the more-human-friendly CSS syntax to generate SVG path syntax?

Also, any thought of maybe enhancing the translator to let users drag-n-drop an SVG, pick a path in it, and get the CSS translation? Or even translations for all the paths at once?

you take the blue pill and the story ends. you wake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. you take the red pill and you stay in wonderland and i show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. you take the grey pill and you see a vision of someone else who took the red pill in stunning Blu-Ray 4K quality. you take the green pill and you watch the 2011 Blu-Ray transfer with the weird green tint on everything. you take the orange pill and use HBO Max to-- wait where are you going

Ok, the YouTube video of the recent @djangochatDjango Chat Podcast with Natalia Bidart on 6.0 is out.

Feel free to watch 30 seconds and give a thumbs up, if so inclined! Note, this episode is audio only. Most future episodes will also have video.

@malwareminigunBilly O'Neal @karotteLukas @whitequark✧✦Catherine✦✧ It's not enough, I think. Both USB 3.2 gen2x1 and 3.2 gen1x2 are 10Gbps, but they are not the same thing. Plug USB 3.2 gen2x1 into gen1x2, you will got the most common speed gen1x1 which is 5Gbps, vice versa. The same thing is also happened on USB4 v1 and USB 3.2 gen2x2, both are 20Gbps (ignore optional USB4 v1 40Gbps). But USB4 use a different PHY layer, so it need a tunnel to be compatible with USB 3. Unfortunately, only 10Gbps tunnel is required, 20Gbps tunnel is optional, so if you plug a USB 3.2 gen2x2 into USB 4, you may can only get 10Gbps instead of 20Gbps.

Is it me or are major internet platform outages getting more frequent? I used to instinctively reboot my router, now I just assume it's the platform. GitHub broke for me this morning, now LinkedIn is offline. Reddit and Twitter feel like they go down twice a week. Meanwhile all these companies are bragging about layoffs because they've "become more efficient with AI". Like, dawg, you can't even keep your website online.

RE: mastodon.online/@danirabbit/11

I did this myself, for a little while. I wondered if I was maybe some level of trans, given how I present myself.

In the end the thought experiment brought me back to "nah, I'm cis and comfortable in the clear femininity of my body, even if I dress boxy, keep my hair short and wear no make up".

I don't even consider myself butch, I just am. And that's fine.

Now I know trans people feel something in themselves that I don't, and I don't have to know how it feels to still fight for their rights.

there's a lot of great youtube content out there where they basically have to put those clickybaity youtubery thumbnails on. it's a shame since they're actually good people making good content. but i blocked them all. block block block. pretty much all the good channels? blocked. i'm missing out on so much. SO much great content. but at least i don't see the annoying thumbnails. unless it's someone new whose channel i haven't seen before. could be interesting. blocked!!

I just wrote the last words of the last chapter of Everything but the Code 🥲 It's been so much fun to write, and I've loved getting so many emails from folks saying it's helped them actually ship their work 🙇‍♂️ Should be out tomorrow, all being well! hackingwithswift.com/store/eve

What are folks using dead simple GIS work? I am brand new to GIS and am looking for affordable (sub $150/mo) tools that will allow me to upload data I get from city FOIA requests to create maps showing surveillance device placement, segregation info, 911 calls, etc. Bonus points if it has a free tier that I can mess with to learn before actually using it for my work.
