Is there someone in/near #Munich who is able to help me measure through and repair my #Samsung C49RG94SSU? It doesn't turn on, stays completely dark, but plugging/unplugging the mains cable makes the angry sparks noise, so it's clear that power is flowing.

With the help of an advertising agency, the social scientists created online ads celebrating the tension between Israelis and Palestinians, and extolling the virtues of fighting for fightingโs sake. One ad showed iconic photos of Israeli war heroes and proclaimed, โWithout [war] we wouldnโt have had heroes. On Mozilla, Firefox and AI
I'm sure a lot of y'all have seen the news already: Mozilla has a new CEO, whose introductory post leans hard into AI and says Firefox will transform into a "modern AI browser" as the cornerstone of a bigger app suite: https://blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/leadership/mozillas-next-chapter-anthony-enzor-demeo-new-ceo/
A lot of us who have been around a while will recognize the AI brain worms as only the latest in a long, LONG line of bad decisions that have made Mozilla the most disappointing defender against Chromium's total browser hegemony that you could imagine.
If you want off this bubble's wild ride before it pops, apparently LibreWolf and Vivaldi have both said they're going to remain AI-free.
As for my stance on GenAI...I don't want it. I don't need it. I don't see redeeming qualities in the ways this technology impacts our planet and the human experience. In fact, I think it has done untold damage already in just a few short years, damage we'll spend the rest of our natural lives trying to untangle from our society. Mozilla is making a mistake.

The big feature in release v3.2.4 of Ktistec is support for viewing and voting on Mastodon polls (AKA FEP-9967: Polls). This feature took a surprising amount of work. Some of the effort was due to my struggles with visual design, but getting the behavior right was also tricky. For example, a "vote" is just an ActivityPub Note, but unlike other notes, it shouldn't appear in a poll's replies (it could, but that would be redundant and confusing). So I had to add exceptions throughout the code to deal with this. A custom Vote object type would have been nice in the original implementation.
