last year, 78% polled wanted increased investment in US passenger rail, a number that went to 80% among women and 82% in cities and 91% among Black people. this year, 76% polled in the US said they are afraid of self-driving cars & just 9% say they trust them and that number is declining year to year

Windows 8.1 클라이언트에선 TLS (HTTPS) 체결이 원활하지 않은 서버들이 은근 있다.
이젠 레거시 운영체제가 되어서 TLS 1.2 이상의 스펙을 불완전하게 지원하기 때문이다.
결국 가능한 모든 설정을 거쳤음에도 실패하면 curl.exe 로 fallback 하도록 모든 http 요청 관련 코드를 손봤다.
다행히 잘 된다. :)

Twenty years ago today we released X11R7, completing over a year of effort to split up the X Window System monolithic source tree into separate modules for each library, program, driver, etc. and to build it all with the GNU autotools instead of Imake. While we’ve recombined a few modules since (xorgproto instead of individual modules for each protocol definition) and are moving from the autotools to meson now, overall it wasvery successful and made it easier for us to maintain the packages we’ve kept going and to retire those we chose to let go.

Strongly dislike two trends I've seen in apple tv apps (netflix, hbo, and most recently youtube) where you can only see two complete massively oversized thumbnails on the screen, and where moving the focus causes the size of the newly selected thumbnail to inflate, with the prior one deflating. It's an awful UX; too much distracting motion and essentially zero information density, especially on a 4k screen.
