I used to work at Starbucks. I know exactly how they make every drink. If you ever want an at-home dupe, let me know what one and I probably know how to make it. If not, I guarantee I can figure it out easily enough. Screw Starbucks and their union busting and various other issues, save yourself a few bucks.

For instance: Their mocha is literally just hot cocoa mix with a pinch of salt, and a little extra sugar, mixed with water. Use a hot cocoa packet, add just enough milk to make it into a thinned paste/thick syrup, and add coffee (instant coffee absolutely works for this) and hot milk. It'll taste better and you can get hot cocoa packs that'll work at a dollar tree for 2 for a buck.

This was never about addressing data privacy, propaganda, or national security. It was always about the US grabbing a big chunk of ownership one of the most popular and successful social media apps. 가짜 계정이 가장 많은 SNS 는 단연코 인스타그램 인 듯. v_chqaj__yzo12 이런 느낌의 아이디로 가짜 계정이 엄청 생기고 있다. 인스타그램 측은 이 사실을 알고 있지 않을까 싶고, 크게 어렵지 않은 방법으로 가짜 계정을 막을 수 있을 것임에도 사실상 의도적 방치를 하고 있는 게 아닐까 추정한다. 진짜 사람이든 아니든 팔로워 숫자가 늘어나는 건 사용자 입장에서 일단 반가운 일이기 때문일 것이다.

그런 면에서 연합우주는 사용자 수가 적긴하지만, 그 만큼 가짜계정도 적어서 아주 청정하다. 마이크로블로깅에 내 목소리가 멀리 퍼져나가는 것도 중요하긴 하다만, 그게 가짜 계정에 의해서라면 무슨 의미를 가지겠나. 그냥 자유롭게 하고 싶은 말 적어대고, 가끔 관심이나 부스트 좀 되면 기분 좋은 정도면 나에겐 충분하다.

Not feeling at all into festivities this year.

Ended the work year on medical leave for / . Not visiting family, because my gorgeous Phoebe-cat has end stage renal disease and is declining; I am devastated and constantly worrying. All friends are away doing their own things, and usual social activities are on pause until mid January.

So anyway I’m around to chat to anyone else who is feeling isolated or down.
