how would it work? would the "proper" rust parts be compiled and used by the interpreter or be interpreted themselves? I don't know much about the ABI.
Sounds like a cool idea tho. I catch myself getting sidetracked on every little hiccup when making a game with bevy. I can't seem to sketch out ideas as easily as I do in Lua or Python; the facts you mentioned sound like the culprit.

@manosΜον Τέλος The way I'm thinking is, compiled parts are compiled regular, but also when you build with the crate you include a list of types/structs/fns which are available to the interpreter. Those structs then get the appropriate generics built for the interpreter to use. Any attempt to load a function or thing-with-impl that isn't on the list won't work, and can't work, because Rust uses a lot of generics and so any generic will need a specialized version for the interpreter's Option<Variant> type

Another Question for my Linuxheads (2 of N):

What password manager can I use on Linux (Debian trixie to be specific) which has the good properties of the old v4 version of 1Password I use?

That is:
* Uses a solid established cryptographic format for encryption, in which all sensitive data is encrypted when stored;
* NO subscription or centralized web service;
* Keeps copies of all its PW files in some directory hierarchy which can be safely synch'ed and shared across computers.

Car PAR DÉFINITION, réduire Rokhaya Diallo à sa couleur de peau (= c'est l'unique point commun qu'elle a avec Joséphine Baker) est une essentialisation raciste.
C'est la DÉFINITION MÊME DU RACISME.
Essayer de nier l'ignominie d'un tel dessin = avouer avoir totalement intériorisé le racisme.

Je suis très sérieux : si vous ne comprenez pas le problème du dessin de Riss, vous êtes le problème (et très rigoureusement vous n'avez pas compris ce qu'est le racisme). Je vous invite alors à y réfléchir : on a tou·te·s le droit de ne pas comprendre les oppressions subies par autrui, mais on a tou·te·s le devoir d'écouter et d'évoluer.

Question for my Linuxheads (1 of N):

For VMs on Linux, if I want to use an existing physical drive with OS installed and run it as a guest VM, like I used to be able to do in VMWare years ago, how do I go about doing this?

When I look at virtmanager, for example, it seems to assume that I'm creating all VM drive images as files within an existing efs partition.

At least currently, on the way towards fully switching over, I want to try booting my existing Windows drive as the guest OS.
