i want to avoid special-casing Following, ideally you should be able to fully "catch up" on any chronoish feed like Quiet Posters or Blacksky or such. we need to be careful to not hide "Load More" for chrono-ish. since otherwise you'd miss the tail but "Load More" doesn't make sense for algo

the basic scenarios i'm starting with: - when doing pull-to-refresh gesture, i usually want fresh content prepended above where i am - however (only in chrono-ish feeds!) freshly fetched content may be too new and leave a gap, in which case i want a "show more" for catchup on that gap

Tower Bridge is composed of two moving parts. During the passage of large ships, in less than a minute, these parts are raised completely with an electronic system that in 1976 replaced the old hydraulic system. Once the moving parts were opened up to 5 times a day, but today is hardly opened because the ships dock is in a completely different area, further downstream Two famous towers, 25 m tall, stand on the Tower Bridge. another tricky thing is that bluesky feed contract (afaik?) has no support for reverse pagination (upwards). maybe i'm wrong about this. but if that's correct, the best thing we can ever do when you "load more" above is insert a fresh segment (which would have a "load more" below). maybe that's fine

basically we have - following (known to be chrono but ideally not special cased) - chrono fast (like blacksky) - chrono slow (like quiet posters, or blacksky trending) - chronoish (not sure re: examples, but i'm sure it exists) - algo, always fresh (like discover, for you) need to work well w/ all
