그나마 블스가 이토록 트위터와 흡사하게 만들어질 수 있었던 이유는 본디 블스가 트위터의 사내 프로젝트로 시작되었기 때문. 블스는 트위터의 기술적 토대(AT 프로토콜)를 고치기 위해 시작되었지만 일론 머스크가 등장하고 트위터의 내부 사정이 불안정해지자 현 CEO 제이 그래버가 트위터를 떠나 외부에서 블스를 시작하기로 결정합니다. 이때까지만 해도 지금과 같은 SNS 서비스를 자체 제공할 생각은 없었지만 사람들이 블스를 독립된 SNS로 착각하고 기대한다는 걸 알게 되고, AT 프로토콜 기능 시연을 위해 블스가 탄생합니다.

The FFS has increased my ethnic ambiguity like 5-fold. I legit look like my cousin Alicia, who is Black with features carried from her Japanese granparents. It is so wild.

I was already super ambiguously ethnic. Studying Chinese, the professor asked if I had Mongolian heritage. In Desert Storm, Arabic people would speak to me in Arabic. Greek people think I’m Greek. Hawaiians think I’m Hawaiian. A Chamorro family once asked my last name so they could know where I came from on Guam.

And, like, the swelling is not down and it’s only been a week but at this point even I don’t know what the fuck I am.

I keep staring in the mirror like “okay she’s definitely not Black or German or anything like that, but she’s definitely something…”

I said in replies that my experience with mypy has been overwhelmingly negative, and I stand by that, but it's also important that it's *my experience*. I'm coming at mypy with the expectation that "type checker" means "program that checks whether a program is well-typed or not," but that seems to not be a consensus interpretation of the term "type checker."

Perhaps a more fair summary, then, is that I don't want what most people want, I want what I would consider to be a "type checker."

I can't remember who posted about how much more they got out of Fleetwood Mac's Rumours after they listened to it as an entire intentional album in sequence. Finally got a chance to do that, since the kiddo got an entry-level turntable for Christmas, and I have to say that I heartily agree -- it's an amazing work taken together.

普通に真面目なTipsなのだけど、なんかタスクがあるけどやる気皆無のとき、そのタスクに必要な道具を触るだけから始めるのもいいよ。

たとえばぼくだったら執筆。テキストエディタでそのファイルを開くだけで目標達成。
やる気が出なかったら開くだけでおしまいでいいし、ちょっと書いてみようかなと思ったら書くのもいい。うまく集中できれば儲けもんだし、そうでなくても目標達成。
おすすめ。
