The Imbabura tree frog (Boana picturata) might look like a visitor from outer space, but this amphibian actually inhabits forested parts of South America, including Ecuador and Colombia. Growing up to 2.3 in (5.8 cm) long, this critter spends most of its time in vegetation, particularly near rivers or streams. Unfortunately it’s threatened by human activity, including deforestation and the use of pesticides.

미러리스는 (다양했던 필름에 비해) 표현폭이 좁다, 디지털은 톤 앤 매너가 획일적이다, 라는 요지의 말들이 요즘 종종 보인다. 필름 시절 색온도나 색 채널별 반응 특성을 필름 회사(+현상 가게)에 맡기고 DSLR시절 이미지 프로세싱에 익숙한 분들은 미러리스를 그렇게 볼 수도 있겠다 싶음. 특히 JPG으로 찍거나 RAW 현상을 라이트룸/캡쳐원의 기본 프로필에 패러미터 몇 개만 조정하는 정도로만 하면 그럴 수 있지.
하지만 디지털 센서에서 나오는 데이터를 사진 이미지로 만드는 이미지 처리 기술은 엄청나게 발전했고, 그 기술의 표현 범위는 이제는 필름 시절보다 뒤지지 않는다고 봅니다. 디지털 사진은 찍은 이후에도 많은 작업과 공부가 필요합니다. 그런 면에서는 오히려 영상 쪽에서 기술 발전을 더 잘 활용하고 있는데, 아무래도 영화 업계에서 현상-보정업을 전문으로 많이 하니까 그 영향인 듯 하다.

Esej o tom, jak současné sociální sítě zabíjí jejich snaha o upoutání pozornosti a maximalizaci zisku za každou cenu. Lidi to na těchto sítích, kde obsah je stále více generovaný a neosobní, postupně přestává bavit, začínají upřednostňovat menší komunity. Jenže úplně samo to nepůjde, jde o celospolečenský problém.
Decentralizace je zmíněná samozřejmě také, nicméně ani ta není všespásná; vypíchnu pár point.

Running FreeBSD 15 VM-Image on Proxmox? You might have noticed your cloud-init static IPs are being ignored. 😓
The issue: Proxmox generates legacy cloud-init "v1" configs, but FreeBSD's new nuageinit tool only understands the modern "v2" format. The result is a silent fallback to DHCP (or no IP at all..).
I wrote a shell script to bridge the gap. It runs on the host and generates a custom ISO with the v2 syntax FreeBSD actually expects.
