altbot is back on. my goal was not to shut it down but to just draw attention from more people to the conversation, which i think worked? so now its back up.
i have been experimenting a bit with a 2-step process, having it ask questions and stuff. and it kinda works most/some of the time? but sometimes it breaks... so idk. more work is needed.
also i wanna say this again. this is an open source, free volunteer project. i wanna encourage more discussion and experimentation. not just by me but by the community. if anyone wants to discuss ideas on how to make it better, please please please make a github issue so that other developers can see it and discuss and maybe try making something out of it. i get talking on fedi is nice, but people who wanna contribute will never find it that way. mentioning me will make me see it but i already have too much on my plate right now especially for the next couple of months (i am moving to a different continent and leaving my family behind)
i am glad both sides clearly have good intentions. and i am very glad both sides are having a good and meaningful discussion.
