I write and get easily distracted.

I know, we ought to perform, so I write poems inconsistently.

We are taught to fixate on meanings, to err is to fail, going astray and also to keep moving. Precision, as life keeps reminding us, is not finite: trees keep weaving dirt and water hounds every crack.

The innocence around is gone, but not so the need to share & connect.

Dans offpunk, j'ai récemment découvert le mode offline et cela accélère l'ouverture des articles qui devient quasi instantanée.

Il reste un détail que j'aimerais améliorer c'est l'affichage des images. Les images sont pixelisées lorsqu'elles s'affichent, je suis obligé d'ouvrir l'article dans le navigateur web.

@ploum, je me demandais comment on pouvait tirer parti du terminal kitty qui est en mesure d'afficher des images dans leur qualité d'origine.

TIL: ArcaOS: a modern 32-bit OS/2 successor that works on current hardware, includes a lot of software compatibility layers like Odin to run Win32 applications, kLIBC to run Linux applications and OpenJDK to run Java applications.
And it's closed source and proprietary.
And it costs $139 for personal use.

I genuinely wonder if there's a market and a consumer for this OS. Who might use it? Is OS/2 Warp is still in production? In some critical infrastructure maybe? Banks? Governments?
It's certainly not a hobbyist and enthusiast OS.
You can even trade up your existing OS/2 support subscription to ArcaOS support subscription.
It's such a blast from the past!

So, if you don't want Calibre to have an LLM, I believe your point of no return is version 8.11. :NoAI: Luckily, since Debian Stable is reasonable, the repository still has 8.5.

The thing I would recommend is if you use Calibre regularly and do not want any "ai" garbage, mark your version now in APT and hope that the @grimthorpeLisa St.John 's Clbre fork project continues to advance (I have hope) so that it will make a newer version of Calibre without LLM's easy to install.

For the time being, my Debian (and Debian based distro) friends, you can mark the current version to be safe.

Just run:

sudo apt-mark hold calibre

And to check that it worked, run:

apt-mark showhold

단 하루만에 X에서 사진이나 그림이 멋대로 AI수정된 사건을 몇 개나 봤는데
누군가가 무단수정 -> 원 저작자가 이래도 되는거냐면서 글을 씀 -> 같이 화내는 사람, 덩달아서 무단수정하는 사람, 인터넷에 올렸다면 공공재라고 잘난척하는 사람 온갖 사람 덕지덕지 붙어서 일론머스크 입장에서는 완전 트래픽 개꿀 호재인 기능이란 걸 깨달았어요.
이것 때문에 사람들이 화를 낼수록 그게 다 X에 수익으로 돌아가는 거네....

Trying to figure out a good syntax for kanshi to match any number of additional outputs. For instance :

<accept any number of additional outputs>
}

It's come up a few times recently in Sway and cage issue trackers.
